Such pleasant and happy restaurant ! I love Happy Hour. Ceviche, shrimp cocktails, quesadillas, and margaritas are all delicious and the service is wonderful ! .. Special thanks manager Robert and Yadira , you are so personable and attentive ! Amazing team ! 100% recommended.
Let me start by saying that this place has one of the best salsa’s in the lakeway area! The food here is excellent. We’re so glad we live a stones throw away from this place. This place is vegetarian friendly and has a plethora of options for us to choose from. We have the quesadilla, fajita and enchiladas. All of them were well flavored and came out hot. Also, if you’re eating here you must accompany your food with the excellent margaritas that they have. The agave one with a tajin rim will make you forget all your worries. This place will always be crowded(rightfully so) and maybe noisy. So if you’re looking for a place to have a quaint dinner, this ain’t it.
The food and service was as good as it gets, and competitively priced for what you get, which results in great value. Service was very, very good: I was seated almost instantly at the bar -- the entire dining area was packed -- and within just a couple of minutes, my drink was served and order placed, which was served to me in under 10 minutes despite them being at capacity in the dining room. Food was very flavorful and hit the spot.
Outstanding food and service with convenient and ample parking. Happy Hour was outstanding - the Mexican Martini is worthy and the Shrimp Cocktail is an excellent light meal option. My mother-in-law loves this place and we’re thrilled to have visited while visiting her in Lakeway. Good job!
We’ve dined here 3 times now. High praise for a Mexican place in Austin is hard to achieve but Santa Catarina gets ours. Each time we’ve been very impressed by prompt and friendly service, and have yet to order a dish that does not exceed our expectations. I highly recommend anything with the Cochinita Pibil as it seems to be a specialty for them. Drinks are excellent, although I am personally not a fan of the Pisco in the Pisco margarita. Fine on its own but no need to change a margarita to try and fit it.

Everything was delicious! In addition to our meals, the prickly pear margarita with tajin rim and the guacamole were amazing. Our toddler loved her chicken tenders! My husband cannot stop talking about the mole on his enchiladas cochinita. The de mariscos rellenos were perfection. We honestly couldn’t decide whose entree was better!
I am in town and met up with a friend of mine today for lunch and per the recommendation , Santa Catarina was on the short list. Located in a shopping center, the location is convenient yet unassuming. They had an outdoor patio with lovely flower boxes, we opted to eat inside as it was a little drizzly today. Ample seating inside as well. A nice tree decorated for Christmas and cool light features. The rustic wood pieces on the wall were a nice touch. I had a mimosa, and my friend had a bloody Mary, we both enjoyed them. We ordered the ceviche for an appetizer, and was surprised at the size of it! Really fresh, had a nice flavor. For lunch my friend had Chilaquiles and said it was delicious. I had the steak on the brunch menu, served with black beans, potatoes and a side of fruit. They had a great flavor, was steak was well seasoned and moist. Service was really good, the server took care of us, and the manager checked on us as well. Great experience, would highly suggest Santa Catarina!
